Capstone Project Prerequisite for the Completion of the Information Technology Major in Digital Arts Program at STI College – Munoz EDSA.
The development of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System constitutes an essential component within the framework of the Information Technology Major in Digital Arts program at STI College – Munoz EDSA. This system is designed to proficiently manage a company’s relationships and interactions with current and potential customers.
Through a comprehensive process of interviews and observations conducted with the designated host company, internal processes were identified as flawed, resulting in redundant outcomes and prolonged operational timelines. In response to these findings, our project endeavors to rectify these issues through the creation of a sustainable, scalable, and user-friendly Customer Relationship Management System. The primary objective is to provide the host company with a tool that facilitates the measurement of its goals, ensuring a tangible metric for success within its operations.
From a managerial perspective, the host company’s leadership will have the capability to review comprehensive records of the company’s activities. This includes insights into individual customer purchasing histories, enabling informed decisions regarding potential future purchases. Leveraging this data, the management can strategically identify and anticipate customer preferences, thereby enhancing sales success rates and ultimately augmenting company profits. Additionally, the system facilitates the monitoring of lead conversions into viable sales opportunities through the integration of the Project Bank.
To ensure a seamless user experience, we have designed the user interface to be responsive, guaranteeing accessibility across diverse devices. We also used and implemented several technologies that would make the proposed system up-to-date with the current trends and industry-standard technologies in web development.
My Role in a Team of 4 persons.
As a web designer, my role encompassed the development of the UI/UX and Front-end components of the system, along with assisting in documentation, before embarking on the Capstone Project. Engaging in this multifaceted responsibility afforded me the opportunity to intimately contribute to the project’s foundational aspects.
Undertaking the programming of the system’s front-end was a dynamic blend of challenges and enjoyment. The complexity inherent in this Capstone Project presented a noteworthy learning curve, and the intricacies involved in programming the front-end added an element of both difficulty and enjoyment to the overall experience. Furthermore, delving into this project proved to be an enlightening journey, particularly in gaining a profound understanding of how business operations unfold in the real-world context.
Navigating through the intricate intersections of design, user experience, and programming allowed me to appreciate the practical implications of my skills within a professional setting. This project not only enhanced my technical proficiency but also broadened my perspective on the symbiotic relationship between technology and real-world business dynamics.
